Norgarb Properties is owned and managed by Lew Norgarb, son of famous Leon Norgarb (former Springbok tennis player and British Open golfer).

Lew (named after his godfather Lew Hoad, a 4-time grand slam winner from Australia), followed in his father’s footsteps and became a world-ranked tennis player, and very well respected coach. Passionate about teaching, Lew built his Cape Town academy to some 1000 students. Employing seven coaches the Norgarb Sports Academy eventually expanded to include a golf coaching division.

More than a decade later Lew moved onto tourism and before long had a flourishing company called South African Golf Tours. With an exchange rate of twenty-two pounds sterling to the rand, Lew recalls his inbound European golfers “raving about possible property acquisitions in SA”. After facilitating some golf estate purchases to his Irish clients Lew said: “I finally saw the light”.

After six years in tourism, the property bug had bit, enticing Lew to sell his Sports Academy and golf tour business to pursue a future in real-estate. After achieving numerous awards with a leading international brand Lew’s entrepreneurial spirit again beckoned for independence and thus it was that eight years ago Norgarb Properties was born and as Lew says “kyk hoe lyk ons nou”

Lew has since attracted very experienced and strong agents to work at Norgarb Properties, expanding his horizons to suburbs like Wynberg, Plumstead, Bergvliet and as far South as Tokai.

Although Lew has his hands full as the Principal and Office Manager, he is a gifted and experienced (14 years), property practitioner and remains hands-on as an active sales agent at Norgarb Properties.
